Our brand-new schooner is on track with all preliminary design work now completed. An evolution of the EC 100 – 8, the ship retains the 8 container capacity but the increased size provides new levels of passenger amenities. Capacity is now up to 12 with 2 well-equipped premium suites and 2 e-comfort cabins plus a spacious dining and leisure area. 4 extra passengers can be cosseted in the new self-contained accommodation pods. From the well-equipped galley comes delicious fresh food with the accent on modern dietary requirements. A selection of herbs and vegetables are grown in deck containers.

With the focus on comfort, the standard high-level insulation and anti-pitch/anti roll systems are enhanced with gyroscopic stabilisers to ensure the quietest, smoothest voyaging. All discreet technology is co-opted for the most efficient and entirely emission free operation.

Yet we have not neglected the cargo shippers, indeed the faster speeds and better stability of the powerful new schooner ensures prompt, reliable delivery. Break bulk, smaller vehicles and double pallets are unloaded with the onboard derrick and that crane is also used for the ship’s electric boats and pontoon.

Versatility is built in to all our vessels and the EC – 132 is no exception. On charter for documentaries or ocean research, only sail and electric powered ships can cruise up to marine life in silence and the wonders of our oceans remain undisturbed. On board, there’s plenty of room for stores, labs, offices, meetings and discoveries, ocean exploration as it should be – unobtrusive and diesel-free. The savings on bunkering are significant and all advantages are banked for a better world.
